うわー！ヘイメル解散ですよ。この人達はいかにも気まぐれな感じがするからなぁ。とりあえずラストアルバムを待ちますが、願わくば解散後はBraid再開の方向でお願いしたい。
途中から普通のバンドっぽくなってしまった事と、アルバムの後半がだれてしまうのが難点のバンドでしたが、ベストアルバムを作れば名盤に成ることは間違いないでしょう。ちなみに1番好きな音源を挙げるなら1st EPかなぁ。
Hey Mercedes : 2000-2005
After 4+ years and 367 shows, Hey Mercedes will be saying goodbye in 2005. This is a mutual and amicable decision and we feel that at this moment, it is the correct one. We will be doing one farewell show in Chicago in April/May and we will be releasing one last EP on Grand Theft Autumn Records at that time. We'll keep this website running and frequently update it with cool audio & video downloads and of course, news on upcoming events. Thank you, everybody, for your love and support over the years. Please comment on the message board and send us email. We'll try and respond to everything individually or on The Wire.

今更かも知れませんが、Webって本当に便利ですね。
つい数年前までは、海外indiesバンドの解散なんてマニアックな雑誌やレコード屋の店員やバイヤーから仕入れる噂っぽい情報でしか伝わらなかったわけですから。
ふと、高校生の頃に好きなバンドに手紙出して「デモ音源下さい」とか言ってた事を思い出しました。基本的に音沙汰無かったんですけどもね…
